Jailbreak iphone/ipod touch 3.12 firmware!

Jailbreak

Information:
-Ipod touch 3rd gen MC model will be tethered! other gens are fine!
-Iphone can be unlocked after jailbreak!
-Very safe but "Use at your own risk"

What you will need :
- Blackra1n ( can be found at www.blackra1n.com )
- Iphone/ipod touch on 3.12 firmware ( I will teach you how to upgrade for free )
-Wndows or Mac
-iTunes 9 or later

Guide:

1.
(If you are already on 3.12 go to 2)
Go to http://www.felixbruns.de/iPod/firmware/ and download the correct firmware for your device.
Put your device into DFU mode by doing this -

Step 1. Turn off your device.

Step 2. Hold down the power and home button.

Step 3. When you see the Apple logo, release the power button but continue holding the home button down until you see the "connect to itunes picture"

Step 4. Itunes will pop up saying you need to restore click ok then instead of just clicking the restore button, hold down Shift and click restore it will then ask you to locate your firmware. Choose the firmware you downloaded and continue restoring.

2.
-Go to www.blackra1n.com and download the program
-Plug Device into computer and run blackra1n by clicking " Make it ra1n"
-It will take about 30 seconds for the jailbreak to complete then it will reboot.
-Once rebooted your device will have an app called blackra1n on it, open it up and make sure you are connected to wi-fi then choose what you want to install but only install 1 at a time. I would reccomend cydia for begginers.

3.
Congratulations your done but be sure to NOT uninstall blackra1n you may need it later!

My friend is getting a Iphone 3GS or 3G and he wants me to jailbreak it, i was wondering if it will get tetherd

all iphones are untethered

i thinkk i might be getting an iphone, so wat does tetherd mean??

It means it when you jailbreak it, it has some problems booting because the boot drive is missing (somehow) anyway thats all i know.

A simple explanation of tethered-

If your jailbroken tethered ipod/iphone happens to go flat or switch off, You will need a pc/mac to turn it back on with the help of blackra1n.

You will NOT lose any data

And it will only take around 20 seconds

I reckon its worth it if your only going to use it arond home

ohk so a tetherd iphone isnt reli that bad? is it reversable?

Yeh a restore to stock firmware will fix it

But the jailbreak wont be there because its stock firmware right?
