Not the banning itself, its the crippling of your harddrive and the membership that people are angry about

Correct, they believe that Microsoft should not be able to do the following:
1. Disabling hard drives and games that were legally purchased on those hard drives through XBL "Game on Demand".

2. Disabling functionality of the Xbox 360 as a Media Center Extender

3. Disabled Access to Netflix Streaming

4. Ect Ect.
